Compact kitchens of the 21st century seem to have the basics in place. On the other hand, little can be said about the supporting technology. For instance, the Elements Modular Kitchen features wall mounted kitchen appliances which range from cooking modules and refrigerator all the way to air-conditioner. It is possible to pick or add modules which are perfectly suited for the kitchen. Each and every unit works independently. However, it can be seamlessly work together via wireless intelligent networking. They wirelessly draw power via ‘powermat’ technology applied to the wall. That’s supplemented with solar energy once needed. Just as we explained, the basic intention is okay. However, we do not know whether we can say the same for supporting technology. The Electrolux Elements is designed by Mathew Gilbride.
